Discover the fun and strategy of American Mahjong together! This beginner-friendly class is designed for adults and children (ages 10 and up) to learn side-by-side using a simplified playing card created specifically for new players.
Our Lil' Mahj card breaks down the game into its most important elements—helping players become familiar with the suits, common hands, how to read the playing card, and understand the general flow of play. Once players feel confident using this card, they’ll be ready to transition to the official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card.
Perfect for families, caregivers, and anyone new to Mahjong, this class is a great way to build skills and have fun together. The game is taught following the rules of American Mahjong and the NMJL.
No prior experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to play!
Recommended for ages 10 and up. We will need a minimum of 8 participants to hold the class.
