Make no mistake, we are definitely in the Detroit Lions era! This team, under the direction of head coach Dan Campbell, has given us Michiganders hope after decades of disappointment. Their unprecedented success, earning a number one seed for the first time in the modern era, has reignited the fan base.
In true Detroit fashion, these Lions refuse to give up, even when hit with set-backs like illness and injuries, like Aidan Hutchinson’s horrific broken leg during a game in October. They’ve taught everyone what it means to have grit, which is also the unofficial slogan coined by Coach Campbell.
Game Time
The Lions finished the regular season with 15 wins and 2 losses. They will host the Washington Commanders in the NFC Divisional Round at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. FYI, tickets are available on Stubhub with prices ranging from $479.00 - $5,015.00.
Expect local bars and restaurants to be packed with excited fans for the 8 o’clock kick off. For those opting to avoid the crowds, but not the excitement, a watch party at home is in order. The game can be watched for free on Fox Sports.
We’ve stocked up on Lions-inspired jewelry and accessories and we have a selection of licensed Lions plates, cups and napkins to make it a party wherever you watch the game.
Looking Ahead
If the Lions win on Saturday, they will play next Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. in Detroit. If they lose, they will be done. (I hate to even type that!) Best of luck to the Lions!
