We are thrilled to announce that Pursuit Paper & Gift of Ada will be participating in the fourth annual nationwide Pink Friday small business shopping experience on November 22, 2024.
Created by The Boutique Hub, Pink Friday is a small business spin on the traditional Black Friday shopping experience, encouraging people to #ShopSmallFirst. Black Friday is the largest shopping day of the year, but the sales and promotions from big-box stores often overshadow the unique experiences that small businesses provide. On November 22, we aim to celebrate the businesses that are the backbone of our local communities.
“Pink Friday was created to shine a spotlight on small businesses and encourage everyone to shop consciously during the holiday season,” says Ashley Alderson, Founder and CEO of The Boutique Hub. “There has never been a more important time than now to ‘Shop Small First.’ Small businesses make a big impact in America’s communities, and it’s crucial that we support them as much as possible.”
The official Pink Friday website lists all the ways consumers can shop, including an interactive map of participating stores offering various deals and gift guides to help consumers find the best gifts for everyone on their list. People can also follow the #ShopSmallFirst hashtag on social media. Any small business can participate in Pink Friday and can find out more by visiting here.
What's Happening at Pursuit Paper & Gift
We are kicking off the holiday shopping season with fun experiences in the store on Pink Friday. Special reusable totes filled with swag will be a gift with purchase for the first 50 customers. We will be crafting all day so feel free to sit and make specialty gift tags, Trendy Bendy Candles, or just color! If you'd like some shiny new bling for the holidays, Lavender Links will be hosting a pop-up permanent jewelry booth from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
We've added some beautiful holiday décor to help you bring the 'merry and bright' vibe to your home. Gorgeous faux florals and picks can add just the right touch of whimsy to any tree or centerpiece. Also new, fun apparel for women and kids. Our Ho, Ho, Ho embroidered sweatshirt is selling out quickly and our "Dear Santa I can explain" kid's tees and sweatshirts are very popular. And as the weather will inevitably be colder soon, fuzzy hats, gloves and scarfs will make great gifts for your loved ones or even yourself!
Pursuit Paper & Gift is proud to be Ada Village’s North Pole Post in 2024. Mail your letters to Santa at the big red mailbox in the store and get a personal letter back before Christmas. Letter writing supplies and envelopes are provided.
